Alastair Haley
Alastair Haley’s first experience of shooting was on a cold and dark outdoor .22 range in Cobham, Surrey, in the middle of winter, aged 8! Not surprisingly, he didn’t return to shooting until University, ultimately captaining the University team.
Taking up fullbore after graduation, a free (!) entry to the Imperial meeting prompted a crash course in the difference between smallbore and fullbore sight movement.
Alastair shoots for Gloucestershire and Wales and has been on every Welsh National winning team, ever, (well, both of them!) He is a regular visitor to Canada and this will be his fifth visit having previously been twice each with GB and Wales. Whilst the pandemic prevented, his wife, Laura, from taking up her place in 2020, the much nicer reason of a new baby has kept her from the tour this year.
