Sandy started shooting at Framlingham College in 2000 and went on to represent Scotland and Great Britain at junior and senior levels. A member of the OF Rifle Club, he has enjoyed notable individual success including winning the British Commonwealth Championships in 2015, the St George’s Prize in 2016 and has multiple top 10 finishes in the Bisley Grand Aggregate (most recently, 3rd place in 2018). Since being part of the winning GB U25 Team at the 2007 World Championships, he has toured multiple times with GB, was selected for the Kolapore Team in 2017 and 2018 and competed for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Australia 2018 where he won a Bronze Medal in the Pairs Event.

Away from Bisley, Sandy lives and works in London as a Chartered Surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield. This will be his second tour to New Zealand having shot there in 2010 but his first as a member of the Palma Team. He is very much looking forward to re-visiting one of the most notoriously difficult ranges in the world.
