Chloë EvansGC

Chloë first picked up a rifle in 2008 at Gresham’s School under the leadership of Freddie Grounds. Since then, she has been lucky enough to tour Jersey, Canada, West Indies and USA representing OGRE, GBU25 and GB. Chloë represents Norfolk & Wales and is especially proud to have been part of Wales’s historic first win in the National in 2016.

In 2022, Chloë was honoured to be selected to shoot the Kolapore, made her 7th HM Queen’s Final and made the top 10 in both the Grand Aggregate and the St George’s Final. This will be Chloë’s 3rd Great Britain tour but her first visit to South Africa and she is greatly looking forward to the challenges Bloemfontein holds. Away from shooting, Chloë is a keen reader and avid sports fan (particularly rugby) and more recently, to stave off lockdown boredom, got into running.

David will be touring South Africa for an eighth time having first visited with the Great Britain team 25 years ago. He is looking forward to the opportunity to catch up with friends both local and from other international teams following an unforeseen four year break from touring.

David’s successes include winning HM the Queens Prize (twice), Grand Aggregate (3 times), the St George’s (4 times) and four Gold Medals at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. In 2015, after a long eight years, he finally managed to shed the title of ‘the oldest ever World Individual Long Range rifle champion’ but his new long term goal is to one day regain that title.

David started shooting with Sedgemoor Target Shooting Club and represents Somerset. He is married to Susie and they live in Bristol with their son Thomas and daughter Sophie. When he has time, David is a keen sports player and enjoys cycling, tennis, and swimming.

Luca O'Flynn

Luca started shooting when he was 12 after he joined RGS Guildford in 2013, starting on air rifle and graduating to small bore after 2 years and full bore a year later. He shot with the Ireland team and the GB U25s after only one imperial and toured with the Athelings the following year.

Having left school, Luca was selected for the NRA tour in 2019, but this tour was postponed and then unfortunately cancelled the following year. However, he went with the team last year in 2022, where they went undefeated against the Channel Islands teams, which had not been done for over 10 years.

He is currently studying Product Design at Loughborough university, where he has founded a rifle club and hopes you will see them competing on the range in the coming months.
