Tour Diary, Day 6 (Break Down & Pack Up - 11/08/2025)
By Sasha Radkovskii
A quieter today, following the end of the Quebec stage of shooting. Some of the team enjoyed the later start and the hotel breakfast, some decided to go out for brunch and others decided to do both.
Then there was ample opportunity for people to breakdown rifles into boxes again before we move to Kingston tomorrow. The hotel launderette proved useful for those that already had piles of washing to complete, and predictably several people reported unusual underwear in their returned piles.
Groups decided to make the best of the quieter day and split up, one visiting Quebec’s Citadel, another re-visiting bouldering and others electing to go and observe fish and other wildlife in the local aquarium. One or two members that were slightly broken went off to find some physio, whilst the rest pottered around locally and had leisurely lunches. As I type (6pm) one of the management is just returning from lunch.
The heat has been today measuring up to 36° which coupled with near 100% humidity has made things very sticky indeed. We start shooting again on Friday and are hopeful that by that time it may have cooled down marginally.
Tomorrow we move to Kingston before we then go to Borden for the ORA and DCRA meetings.
