Shooting Career- Charles started shooting at Aldro Preparatory School in Surrey (the alma mata also of Jon Underwood), then Marlborough College, being selected to tour Canada with the Athelings in 1974. This will be Charles’s 5th GB tour to Canada. He has also been on GB tours to the West Indies twice and NRA tours to the Channel Islands twice. He shoots for the county of Hampshire, Marlborough old boys, Manydown RC, the North London RC and the British Commonwealth RC of which he is now Club President.

Personal Life – Charles is married to Penny and they have two children, James and Charlotte (“Lottie”).  All three are Bisley aficionados. Charles’s spare time is currently spent administering ICFRA of which he is Secretary General.

Amusing Fact – Charles was last in Connaught in 2011 and in setting up the GB clubhouse for the rest of the team and testing out the electricity supply by making some coffee and toast, he managed not just to blow both electrical circuits at the property itself but a large part of Connaught camp. The nickname “sparky” followed quickly! If you see Charles attempting to do anything similar on this trip, please restrain  him….
