Today saw the team compete in day 2 of the Nova Scotia Annual Prize Meeting (NS APM 2022), at Bull Meadow Range.

First comps of the day were the Stanfield 1 – 2&10 @ 300m and the Stanfield Final – 2&10 @ 500m, where the weather was already heating up for another in credibly hot and humid day. With some pretty benign wind conditions the team posted some impressive results for the morning session. With a welcome lunch break, and with the weather being so incredibly hot and humid, staying hydrated was the order of the day.

With a threat of a weather front moving in, and the fierce heat, the afternoon shoots were truncated to 2&7 for our two 600m sessions – the Higgins-Merchants & MacDonald Stewart 1. The team collectively pushed ahead in uncomfortable conditions, with several of the team still showing clean results over the last two days, a truly impressive feat – notably Al Haley, who even finished on a 35.7 @ 600m. Well done Al!

Back to the hotel for a freshen up and into ‘Number 1s’ for our first outing in our fabulous GB blazers – a team meal with our fellow NS shooters, hosted by the Canadian Navy. A fabulous day was had by all.
