Bruce has been going to Bisley longer than he likes to remember and even when work commitments intervened has usually managed to make at least one day of the Imperial meeting. He is looking forward to returning to New Zealand for the second time since he first toured with the first GB U25 touring team 27 years ago. More recently his first full GB cap was with the successful 2014 team to Canada and the USA, and he toured the West Indies with England in 2017. His first National and Mackinnon caps, in 2018, are indelibly etched into his memory.
Away from the range, he spent many years working among the idyllic dreaming spires of Oxford but gave that up for a two year extended sabbatical with his wife, driving round South America in a small yellow van. On returning, he is attempting a mid-life career change into conservation. His other main interest is spending time outdoors (usually hanging from a rope on something vertical or falling off a bike on something bumpy).
