Long in the shooting tooth is a fair description of Nick, who has been shooting at international level since 1976. Although he has been a member of 15 touring teams this will be his first as captain. He has occasionally won the odd trophy, surprising no one more than himself, both in Target Rifle and Match Rifle. The prize which has eluded thus far is the Protea Match. Nick is looking forward to the opportunity to resolve that in 2017 and feels he has the best possible team to do so, although the main focus will be on the Australia Match.
