Tour Diary, Day 3 (Old Town Road - 08/08/2025)
By Sasha Radkovskii
For our the last day of R&R before we start shooting, most of the team met up with the local competitors and hosts, Gale Stewart and Nicole Rossignol.
They graciously took the time to show us the sights of Quebec city. They were excellent guides, teaching us all about Quebec and Canada’s rich history, and fielding all our questions with ease!
Some of the highlights included walking up to the Pierre-Dugua-De-Mons Terrace which overlooked the promenade, and walking through the old town. The city centre having architecture that was a wonderful blend of the old and new.
After having lunch, we parted ways with Nicole and Gale, who went to set up the range for tomorrow’s events. The team then split up once more with some resting after the many steps and sloped streets of Quebec city, and others going to visit a nearby waterfall, Montmorency Falls.
Amongst the falls were infact more stairs, about 500 to get to the bottom! Tom Bullock even going up and down twice!
Once everyone was back at the hotel, we had a final team brief to go over the logistics for the next few days. But it wasn’t all business as we celebrated Matt Purdy and Sasha Radkovskii’s birthday’s with some champagne and cake! A great way to end the first leg of relaxation before we go back to what we do best 🎯
