Having quite firmly stated that she had retired from team touring in 2019, Jackie has revealed that she has the breaking strain of a hot KitKat and is delighted to accept Jeremy’s invitation to work once again with the GBRT as a team Physiotherapist for the 2024 World Championships and Palma Match in South Africa. This will be Jackie’s fifth GB tour and fourth Palma tour and she is looking forward to seeing many friends from all over the world again.

Jackie still lives and works as a Physiotherapist in Alberta, having moved there in 2010. With ongoing professional development courses, she has some new skills to “inflict” on the team as well as relying on the trusted favourites! His first tour to South Africa was 2004 as Adjutant of the GB U25 team, returning with GB in 2008. He shot in his first Palma Match in Brisbane, 2011.

After a brief hiatus flirting with the world of cycling, Paul returned to shooting in 2018 with a bang, completing his Big 5 in the Kolapore Match that year. He topped this by winning the Silver Cross in 2019, his highest individual honour to date. This is his fifth GB tour and sixth trip to South Africa, a country that has always created fond memories.

Away from shooting, Paul is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth and continues to cycle in his spare time.

His favourite moment during his shooting career was winning the Imperial 150 team match.

He also competes in other variations of shooting sports most notably competing in Winter Biathlon which incorporates cross-country skiing and shooting in both prone and standing positions.

Daisy quickly fell in love with team shooting and had her first taste of this while touring Jersey with the UKCRT in 2018, followed by Canada with the Athelings. She was looking forward to going to South Africa with the GB U19s but sadly the COVID-19 pandemic prevented that so instead toured to Blair Atholl in Scotland the following year.

Daisy is currently studying Food Business Management and Marketing at Newcastle University. After her studies, she hopes to travel New Zealand and Australia. Away from shooting, Daisy enjoys spending time on the farm and beaches in Northumberland and seeing friends in Newcastle. She is very much looking forward to travelling to South Africa with the GB U21 team.
