Today 14 intrepid members of GB signed up to the Gale Stewart walking tour of Quebec City. Gale, a Canadian team shooter, was born and raised in Quebec so had intimate knowledge of all the sites and oddities to visit. First off was lunch, a fine old crepe house that even catered to Martin’s penchant for seafood. The tour took in all the historic sites, the Citadel where Wolfe defeated Montcalm by scaling the cliffs and innumerable steps both ascending and descending. Why did they build a city on a steep hill, not a place for dodgy knees. Several hours later, tour complete, Gale thanked profusely and time for a beer, happy days.

The remainder of the GB team pitted their wits agains Quebec’s Escape room. Splitting into two opposing teams, and the same Escape Room, the gauntlet was laid down. Alastair Haley’s team seemed a popular one to try and be in and with good reason. The challenge was completed in 23 minutes, the Escape Room record being 18. Well done team!
