Day 16

Toby Little

After the amazing match yesterday and a late night celebrating, the team had the morning off before the opening ceremony and first World Long Ranged Championships shoot in the afternoon.

The team gathered for a late breakfast to debrief and discuss the previous nights adventures and eat away any sore heads.

The 32nd World Long Range Championship opening ceremony took place at the range with speeches from SABU and ICFRA officials before the flags were raised. Our own Harriet Bramwell hoisted the Union Jack with the help of the Palma team captain, Jeremy Langley. The ceremony was concluded with a prayer lead by General Mac and a brief history of Boer shooting.

We then shot the opening match of the WLRC Individuals at 700 meters in the peak of the day heat. The wind was much less powerful than we are used to but was still changing rapidly and with little warning. Miles, Jemima, Henry and Toby L all scored well earned 75s with the rest of the team not far behind.

The team are looking forward to getting an early night ready to be on the range again bright and early tomorrow!
