Day 19

Paul Sykes

We gathered for our last early start of the tour and first shot at 800M despite some of the team thinking we were shooting at 700M. Jemima scored the only 75 for the team with Miles, Toby, Tom and Henry close behind on 74s.

At 900M, the wind picked up but Jemima put in a very strong 71 with Henry one point behind on 70. That concluded the world championships for the team who headed back to the hotel for lunch and to drop off kit.

After this brief break the team headed back to the range to watch the final shoot between the ten in the WLRC grand aggregate. This year it excitingly included five brits from the Palma team. After a nail biting shoot the Aussie Ashley Bidgood came out on top by several V bulls over GBs Glyn Barnett and Jon Underwood, congratulations to all involved for some phenomenal shooting.

After almost running out of fuel, the team returned to the hotel and sorted through all the live ammunition and 8000 empty cases to prepare them for shipping back to the UK.

The rest of the evening will entail prize giving before going out out…
