The diarist apologies for the brevity of this entry, due to the unavailability of a complete set of results, which we are expecting from the BCRA in the next few days.
GBRT is incredibly proud to announce that its own David Calvert is the winner of the 2016 BCRA Lt. Governor’s Prize, with a score of 347.40. Not content with winning H.M. Queen’s Prize for the third time, just over a week ago, David shot his way to victory once again and was chaired off the range by his proud teammates.
After chairing David off the range, the team then attended the prize giving and collected, between them, a large percentage of the BCRA’s silverware, only to have to return it, immediately following the presentations, as it is forbidden from leaving the range.
Following an informal dinner with some members of the US team, at a local steakhouse, GBRT packed up their suitcases, in order to be ready for a prompt departure from the range, following the next day’s match.
The team for tomorrow’s International Match against Canada and the USA is as follows:
Coach: Charles Dickenson
Firers:
Jon Underwood
Ellie Joseph
John Lindsay
Jeremy Tuck
Coach: Chris Hockley
Firers:
David Crispin
James Mehta
Graham Nelson
Angus McLeod
Adjutant and Plotter: Rory MacLeod
Second Plotter: Matt Charlton
Shooting alongside the main team will be:
Coach: David Calvert
Firers:
Stephen Penrose
Colin Skellett
Ian Ashworth
Simon Carson
Lollipop awards (Day 5):
Good – David Calvert, for winning the Lt. Governor’s Prize.
Bad – Graham Nelson, for leaving his kit bag on the far side of the range, assuming that one of the team would collect it for him.
Looks like David is getting to old to walk! Well done GBRT team!
