GBRT Canada 2013

John Lindsay

John began shooting at the age of twelve when he became involved in competitive air rifle. After going up to Cambridge University in 2006, he progressed to both small-bore and full-bore rifle shooting. In his time at Cambridge he captained the small-bore team to a complete set of varsity match victories against Oxford in 2009. In the same year, he made reserve for the England Match Rifle team in the Elcho and shot for the first time in the final of Her Majesty the Queen’s Prize. In 2010 he earned himself a Full Blue in Rifle Shooting from Cambridge, becoming only the thirteenth person in the history of the Club to earn this accolade by the original scoring criteria. As well as shooting for the University, he regularly represents his county, Essex. In 2011, John toured with the NRA team to the Channel Islands and in 2012 he shot for England in the National match for the first time. This would be his first tour to Canada and his first Great Britain cap.
Off the range, John enjoys a range of hobbies including playing guitar, SCUBA diving and motor racing.
